Request for Proposal: Banana Industry Benchmarking (BA22009)
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Banana Industry Benchmarking (BA22009).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Provide Australian banana growers with a benchmarking tool that delivers meaningful data on the operational, financial and production components of their business, and allow for comparisons with other growers
• Refine and deliver key benchmark performance metrics that support grower decision making and monitor industry progress against the 2022-2026 Banana Strategic Investment Plan (SIP)
• Support the banana industry identify and validate emerging trends and issues affecting production through an enduring participatory grower orientated benchmarking tool that engages a representative level of grower participation across the industry
• Work with the existing infrastructure, programs and trusted relationships that exist in the banana industry to develop a benchmarking initiative for the banana industry in a manner & process that builds grower trust with unquestioned confidentiality for individual enterprise data
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
