Request for Proposal: AS22003 Translating RNAi technology for virus and whitefly management in protected cropping systems
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Translating RNAi technology for virus and whitefly management in protected cropping systems (AS22003).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Define the physical, mechanistic, and functional parameters of novel RNAi application to target insect pests and viruses in commercial protected cropping systems
• Understand the efficacy and longevity of novel RNAi application in commercial protected cropping systems
• Demonstrate the use of novel RNAi application in commercial protected cropping systems as part of an integrated pest and disease management approach to managing insect pests and viruses
