Request for Proposal: Implementing precision agriculture solutions in Australian avocado production systems (AV18002)
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia's $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Implementing precision agriculture solutions in Australian avocado production systems (AV18002).
The objectives of the services are to help Hort Innovation and the avocado industry:
• Develop a yield forecasting model and a web-based app that can be used on both desktop and hand-held devices for the Australian avocado industry using emerging technologies
• Develop a tree health index model and a web-based app that can be used on both desktop and hand-held devices based on Cyber Geigy disease ratings for the Australian avocado industry using emerging technologies
• Maintain the national production area map for the Australian avocado industry.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
