Request for Proposal: Pilot sterile codling moth releases for the apple industry (AP18001)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia's $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Pilot sterile codling moth releases for the apple industry (AP18001).
The objectives of the services being sought are to explore the potential for importation of sterile codling moth, and if feasible, pilot a sterile codling moth release for the Australian apple industry to:
• Ensure continuous improvement and awareness of pest management options
• Support innovation and new technology in pest management
• Ensure Australian apple and pear growers have up-to-date information from which to base pest management decisions.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
