Request for Proposal: Ensuring business continuity during biosecurity incursions
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $13.2 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Ensuring business continuity during biosecurity incursions (NY18010).
The objectives of the services being sought are to determine components of potential social and economic impacts of biosecurity incursions on Australian production nursery businesses and develop recommended support activities that could be quickly actioned during a biosecurity incursion, ensuring business continuity through minimisation of social and/or economic damage. The project will:
• Support the Australian production nursery industry by developing nursery-specific capacity to support businesses during biosecurity incursions
• Ensure that the Australian production nursery industry and stakeholders have accurate information and access to support systems upon which to base management and business decisions
• Enhance the biosecurity resilience of the industry through provision of a holistic incursion response framework.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
