Request for Proposal: Biosecurity and sustainability in the banana industry (BA19005)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research, development, and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Biosecurity and sustainability in the banana industry (BA19005).
The objectives being sought from this three-year development project are to ensure continual
development of the banana industry and adoption of best-practice through:
• Investigating the means of incentivising adoption of sustainability and biosecurity best practice on-farm.
• Ensuring that Government investment is directed into programs that are practical, relevant and that will deliver long term benefits for growers, the industry, the environment and the community.
• Strategic representation of banana growers in the design and implementation of policy development surrounding biosecurity and sustainability.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
