Request for Proposal: Australian sweet potato market insight reports (PW19000)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Australian Sweet Potato Market Insight Reports (PW19000).
The Australian sweet potato industry is already an exporter which has been driven by large commercial businesses, however, to continue market growth for industry there must be a coordinated and strategic approach.
The objectives of the services being sought are to produce market intelligence and insight reports to create greater capacity to make informed business decisions and to assist in the continuous development of the Australian sweet potato industry in Asia and the Middle East. This will be achieved through:
• Collecting and analysing market intelligence statistics and trade data for the Australian sweet potato industry so information can be used to inform future trade-related investments and for consideration of commercial export business opportunities.
• Summarising industry trade performance and identify and evaluate key industry and global influences affecting trade outcomes over the reporting period(s).
• Providing insight in the global competition, price points, varieties, competitive analysis, consumption of imports from other countries, seasonality, packaging and the perceptions of product in the market.
• Collecting data and engaging with industry and stakeholders to further develop exports in the sweet potato industry to specific markets
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
