Request for Proposal: Australian onion industry export strategy (VN20003)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Australian onion industry export strategy (VN20003).
The objective of the project is to assist Hort Innovation provide industry with a single authoritative export strategy resource to identify Australian onion industry export growth priorities. The strategy is to:
• Direct export activity by industry and government, including market access prioritisation and development, industry export capability building and international market development
• Be a resource for growers and exporters looking to develop their export capability, identify international market opportunities and grow their exports
• Be a resource to inform effective R&D and marketing investments by Hort Innovation through levy or frontier funds in export development projects related to market access, industry capability or international market development
• Provide data, information and business plans required to support market access and improvement applications to the International Market Access Assessment Panel (IMAAP) (previously TAP).
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
