Request for Proposal: Management of insecticide resistance in serpentine leafminer (Liriomyza huidobrensis) (AS20002)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Management of insecticide resistance in serpentine leafminer (Liriomyza huidobrensis) (AS20002).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
1. Improve management strategies for serpentine leafminer by determining baseline insecticide resistance in Australian populations of serpentine leafminer
2. Develop DNA-based resistance detection by undertaking whole genome sequencing of SLM and testing known resistance regions of DNA that have been found in related species
3. Establish cultures of serpentine leafminer that will allow future work on insecticide resistance to continue.
