Request for Proposal: Citrus industry biosecurity preparedness strategy (CT20006)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Citrus industry biosecurity strategy (CT20006).
The objectives of the services being sought are to assist Hort Innovation:
• Facilitate the early detection of new pests to provide the best chance of eradicating or containing high priority pests before they become widely established
• Support the collection of data on the presence or absence of citrus pests to retain, maintain or provide opportunities to expand market access
• Promote improved biosecurity and surveillance awareness amongst the citrus industry and urban and peri-urban communities that pose high risk pathways for new pest introductions
• Review and coordinate industry surveillance programs and preparedness activities to ensure they are efficient and fit for purpose.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
