Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Optimising chemical and cultural management of onion white rot (VN20007).
The objectives of the services being sought are to assist Hort Innovation:
• Determine the efficacy and use pattern of bio-stimulant compounds and incorporate their use into the management of onion white rot.
• Clarify S. cepivorum sclerotia germination and survival and fungal activity in elevated soil temperatures.
• Identify potential new fungicides and optimise in-season spray timing and dose rates of current and new fungicides under various environmental conditions.
• Develop and implement a cost-effective disease management program based on cultural, biological and/or chemical control strategies.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
