Request for Proposal: Effective fall armyworm pheromone blends for improved monitoring and population estimation in Australia (AS21000)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Effective Fall armyworm pheromone blends for improved monitoring and population estimation in Australia (AS21000).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Develop an accelerated pathway for the effective monitoring and control of fall armyworm by improving trapping efficacy using adaptable, region-specific pheromone blends
• Understand the genetic basis for sex pheromone variation and attractiveness in fall armyworm populations, leading to an enhanced ability to develop novel pheromone blends
• Understanding trap densities for maximum effectiveness to enable viable area-wide management
Provide recommendations on the commercial implementation of priority technologies identified in the project.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
