Request for Proposal: Australia-Indonesia Women’s Mentoring Program in Horticultural Produce (AM21004)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefits to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Australia-Indonesia Women’s Mentoring Program in Horticultural Produce (AM21004)
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Raise awareness and trade of Australian horticultural products in the Indonesian market. This will be achieved through a mentoring program between senior executive women of Australian horticultural corporate entities and Indonesian business-women working in small and medium sized entities in the fresh produce supply chain.
• Provide leadership and development opportunities for Indonesian and Australian business-women by sharing experience and knowledge about the supply and demand of both markets.
• Empower businesswomen and foster leadership creation in both countries by sharing knowledge and opening new commercial opportunities.
• Create a direct communication channel between potential business partners (B2B).
• Enhance collaboration and information sharing between relevant players in both supply chains.
• Improve understanding of Indonesian market demands for fresh Australian produce.
• Establish an alumni group to build ongoing knowledge and networking.
The knowledge exchange will involve sharing information about the horticultural production system in Australia, raising awareness of the premium profile of Australian nuts, fruits and vegetables and advising on marketing strategies to promote Australian products in the Indonesian market. The area of knowledge exchange can cover issues related to the import, distribution, storage, retail and wholesale of fresh produce. In return, Australian producers will have a better understanding of the demands of the Indonesian market.
