Request for Proposal: Vegetable industry biosecurity and business continuity strategy (VG22004)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Vegetable industry biosecurity and business continuity strategy (VG22004).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Enhance vegetable industry biosecurity resilience by improving preparedness for exotic plant pests including better diagnostics, surveillance and management options.
• Support vegetable industry recovery after a biosecurity incursion by developing management options for growers, monitoring ongoing risks of biological invasions (e.g., chemical resistance, population dynamics), and demonstrating practical tools for growers to control these pests.
• Promote improved biosecurity awareness in the vegetable industry by assisting growers to develop on-farm biosecurity plans, and engaging with the broader community that pose high-risk pathways for the entry and establishment of exotic plant pests.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
