Request for Proposal: Online resource for mushroom health and nutrition science for health care professionals (MU22006)
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned research and development corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project:
Online resource for mushroom health and nutrition science for health care professionals (MU22006).
The objectives of the services are to help Hort Innovation:
• Establish an online platform for Australian mushroom health and nutrition with the core function of collating, developing, and managing health and nutrition information pertaining to the human consumption of mushrooms. This platform (website) should be prepared in consultation with Hort Innovation and the Australian Mushroom Growers Association (AMGA) to determine website and resource management early in the project.
• To differentiate mushrooms from other foods through the health and nutritional attributes using online resources and through in person education (for example at conferences) targeted at health care professionals.
• Maximise the engagement with the outputs and resources produced in previous projects and produce metrics for analysis of success, such as website engagement.
• Increase awareness of the health and nutritional benefits of mushrooms among key influencers of dietary habits– including dietitians, fitness and nutrition professionals and other health care professionals.
• Identify research gaps and opportunities for future work in the health and nutrition benefits of mushrooms.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
