Request for Proposal: Increasing vegetable content in primary school canteen menus
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Increasing vegetable content in primary school canteen menus (MT22006).
The objectives of the services are to help Hort Innovation use the insights from the VG16064 and other previous research and pilot projects to:
• Enable primary school canteen managers to increase vegetable prevalence in primary school menus through educational resources and development of tools, being mindful of the budget and resource requirements or demands of the average primary school canteen
• Build on research findings about childhood enjoyment of vegetables for future increased vegetable consumption, therefore demand
• Increase vegetable and onion consumption by children via primary school canteen menu options, including purchase intent and intake.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
