Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Avocado industry supply and trade data capture and analysis (AV22016).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
Collect and report high quality industry and market data to aid both short- and long-term industry strategic planning activities and decision making.
Support seasonal harvesting, marketing decisions and competitive export development planning, through the collection of robust, relevant and verifiable supply throughput, trade and retail pricing information.
Help maintain a timely supply and demand balance that supports a more sustainable, prepared, and competitive industry for growers and consumers alike.
Produce long term industry production forecasts to inform stakeholders of the medium-long term outlook for the industry to validate and inform broader issues and production trends facing the industry regionally, and across Australia.
Monitor Australian orchard productivity over time to evaluate changes.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
