Request for Proposal: Summerfruit extension and communication project
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s close to $16 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: SF23004 Summerfruit extension and communication project.
The objectives of the services being sought are to help Hort Innovation deliver an extension and communication project for the Australian Summerfruit industry focusing on;
• Increased engagement and awareness across the Summerfruit industry on research findings, best practice, emerging risks and opportunities.
• knowledge, attitude, skills and aspirations across the Summerfruit industry value chain on research findings, best practice, emerging risks and opportunities.
• adoption of R&D program outcomes achieving demonstratable impact for growers
• awareness of Hort Innovation’s R&D investments and related programs by Australian Summerfruit growers
• Increased understanding of the levy system and how to participate in having input into communicating industry needs.
This proposed project will improve grower engagement, adoption and innovation in biosecurity, production, and sustainability driving improved production using modern extension tools; orchard walks, webinars, videos, podcasts, biennial conference and fact sheets. The project will also include developing a communications strategy that will deliver a national communications platform including a refreshed website, e-newsletter and increased social media engagement.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
