Request for Proposal: Causes and management of avocado ridging, netting and stretch marking (AV24004)
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $16.3 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $154 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Causes and management of avocado ridging, netting and stretch marking (AV24004).
Investing in this project is crucial to reduce and eliminate the occurrence of avocado ridging issues, ensuring sustainable practices for growers and maintaining high-quality produce in response to evolving market demands.
The overall objectives of the project are to:
• Identify and understand primary causes of avocado ridging netting and stretch marking for effective mitigation.
• Develop sustainable management practices to enhance crop quality and yield.
• Build a thorough understanding of ridging triggers and explore potential treatments to prevent future occurrences and improve overall production.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
