Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $16.3 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $154 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Accelerating adoption of Area Wide-Integrated Crop Management in vegetable, onion and potato growing regions (MT24012).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Use the Rapid Rural Appraisal of the Agricultural Innovation System (RAAIS) method to conduct an in-depth analysis of the Area Wide-Integrated Crop Management (AW-ICM) systems in three growing regions where vegetables, onions and potatoes (fresh and processing) are grown together. The three regions will be in Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
• Gain insights on what is working well and identify opportunities for strengthening AW-ICM within Australian vegetable, onion and potato growing regions and industries.
• Provide tangible recommendations on how to strengthen AW-ICM within Australian vegetable, onion and potato growing regions at farm, landscape and industry levels.
• Foster collaboration between vegetable, onion and potato industries on shared pest challenges and opportunities.
