Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $154 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Australian Nashi Industry Study Tour - Japan, South Korea and China (NA24001).
The RFP will require respondents to:
1. Develop a targeted 7–8 day international itinerary addressing key varietal challenges for the Australian Nashi Industry
• Visit and facilitate access to growers, research institutes, and breeders in Japan, South Korea, and China
2. Focus on varietal traits of interest including: reduced thinning, low chill, shelf life, storage resilience, skin toughness, and flavour profiles
• Document and disseminate findings through a post-tour industry report and grower workshops
3. Ensure integration with the NA22000 project
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
