Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Design and development of the Australian honey bee genetic improvement program (PH17000).
The key objectives of this program are to:
• Better understand preferred heritable traits of Australian honey bees
• Enable the development of a national genetic improvement program (utilising genomic methods where appropriate)
• Enhance crop pollination and honey production through improved honey bee genetics
• Develop a consortium through partnerships with the key national and international R&D programs.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties. The closing date for responses is 5.00pm (AEDT), Thursday, November 16, 2017
