Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Improved capacity for Integrated Disease Management of couch smut (Ustilago cynodontis) in turf (TU17002).
The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Review the distribution, prevalence and severity of couch smut in the Australian turfgrass production industry by commercially available green and hybrid couches
• Research management options for couch smut
• Extend an Integrated Disease Management (IDM) plan to industry.
The project will inform the turf industry on the prevalence and extent of the incidence of couch smut on commercially available green and hybrid couches. Effective and adoptable management options for the disease will be extended across the industry.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
