Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.

Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Review of nursery industry career pathways (NY17002).

The objectives of the services being sought are to help Hort Innovation:
• Understand the potential source and quantum of trained individuals available to the nursery industry for employment and investigate whether the nursery industry can and does attract these graduates
• Analyse the current nursery industry staffing environment and identify those aspects that are unique and those that are common to other industries
• Investigate the effectiveness of attraction, development and retention initiatives that the nursery industry (and other agriculture-related industries) currently use
• Develop (with industry input and consultation) a strategy to guide the nursery industry in providing better career development options
• Present a plan for implementing the strategy.

Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
