Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $170 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Watch and Act for Mushroom Food Safety and Risk Management (MU25003).
The objectives of the services being sought are to support the industry to increase the production of quality mushrooms by:
• Providing leadership to the mushroom industry in food safety
• Keeping industry informed of important food safety requirements for mushroom production and its supply chain
• Monitor and prepare for emerging threats
• Provide expert support to the industry for emerging food safety issues that may impact the industry – such as policy changes, certification changes and reputational risks
• Support industry quality management systems to identify and address risk
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
