Request for Proposal: Feasibility study into opportunities for high-technology horticulture production in urban environments
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $13.2 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Feasibility study into opportunities for high-technology horticulture production in urban environments (HA19005).
The objectives of the services are to assist Hort Innovation:
• Generate new knowledge on the feasibility of high-technology horticulture in urban centers in Australia
• Identify opportunities and challenges for commercial horticulture
• Develop an economic appraisal incorporating considerations across technology opportunities, regulatory and planning factors, farm input and waste, and the horticultural supply chain
• Identify environmental and social benefits that contribute to Hort Innovation’s commitment to sustainable growth in horticulture.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties. The closing date for responses is 5.00pm (AEST), 13 April 2020. NOW EXTENDED to 5.00pm (AEST), 16th April 2020.
