Background:
Western Downs Regional Council (Council), the Principal, is seeking tenders for the sewer rehabilitation of approximately 6.5km of 150mm, 1.6km of 225mm, 880m of 300mm and 11m of 375mm sewer mains in Dalby and Chinchilla, Queensland, subject to council budgetary requirements prior to tender award.
The works to be executed shall consist of all works associated with the inspection, cleaning, design, manufacture, supply, delivery to site, installation and testing of an approved method of sewer liner for the specified sewer mains.
The rehabilitation of deteriorated non-pressure pipelines by structural lining is required. Pipes lined will need to have their structural integrity and hydraulic capacity restored. This includes infiltration of ground water, root ingress and exfiltration of sewage prevented.
Council is looking for cost effective solutions and welcomes input from prospective tenderers with regards to viable measures to achieve this. Please ensure the tender includes all the required materials and work to undertake this construction. Council intends to award the works to a single, capable entity who will complete the contract in a timely and proficient manner.
Defect Liability Release will require a condition assessment report on 720 meters of relined items of the Principal's choice
