Background:
Western Downs Regional Council (WDRC) intends to install underground stormwater and to widen the existing pavement in Zeller Street, Chinchilla between Windmill and Mackie Streets.
Works under this Contract are generally as shown in WDRC Plans 2094 to 2101 &2107 - 2113. The works involve the construction of stormwater drainage and associated road construction works including installation of reinforced concrete pipes (RCP's), construction of drainage structures, excavation, backfilling and reinstatement of pavement, bitumen surfacing and associated tie in works.
The contract is comprised of the following works and is not limited to:
• Location of existing services;
• Excavation and disposal of pavement / subgrade materials;
• Installation of RCPs including excavation, bedding, pipe installation, backfilling and reinstatement of pavements;
• Construction of cast in-situ drainage structures;
• Installation of pre-cast concrete drainage structures;
• Installation of pre-cast one piece kerb inlets as specified including construction of new kerb and channel as required to provide neat tie-in with existing kerb and channel;
• Reinstate existing water services to properties as required;
• Relocation of Telstra and Water services as required;
• Bitumen Surfacing.
The work under the Contract shall be priced and undertaken as a single project.
In tendering these works, Council's objective is to deliver the works safely and to and high standard while achieving value for money.
