Background
Western Downs Regional Council (WDRC) operates a water treatment plant (WTP) for the town of Dalby, approximately 8kms west of Dalby. The Dalby WTP provides the sole source of reticulated water supply to Dalby. The raw water supply to the Dalby WTP is obtained from groundwater which is pumped from a combination of Shallow bores, and the Condamine River Weir.
To cater for growth and loss of Alluvium A capacity, WDRC have investigated the need for a bore which can tap into the Great Artesian Basin (GAB).
As a result, WDRC require a suitable contractor to undertake the following works:
• Design and Construction of a GAB bore to an estimated depth of 950m.
Council is looking for cost effective solutions and welcomes input from prospective tenders in achieving this. The tender is for all of the required materials and work to undertake this design and construction. Western Downs Regional Council intends to award all of the works to a single, capable entity who will complete the contract in accordance with below Specifications in a timely and proficient manner.
All requests for information or advice regarding documents are to be directed to Mr Bernard Fitzsimmons via email bernard.fitzsimmons@wdrc.qld.gov.au or phone 07 4679 4663.
Tenders must be received by the closing time of 2.30pm Wednesday 5 September 2018. Submissions received after the closing time may be deemed invalid.
Council may invite tenderers to change their tenders in accordance with the provision of Section 228 (7) of the Local Government Regulation 2012. Council reserves the right to accept any submission in whole or part and the right not to accept the lowest or all submissions.
