REQUEST FOR TENDER - SALE OF LAND
Western Downs Regional Council is seeking offers for the following:

In offering this parcel for sale, Council is specifically seeking proposals for the development of the land for the delivery of aged care services.

Submissions must be received by the closing time of 5pm Monday 30 September 2019. Submissions received after the closing time may be deemed invalid.
Council may invite tenderers to change their offers in accordance with the provision of Section 228 (7) of the Local Government Regulation 2012. Council reserves the right to accept any submission in whole or part and the right not to accept the highest or any submissions.

Background:
Lot 1 on RP158505 is freehold land owned by the Western Downs Regional Council. The land is known as "Horace Street Park".
In offering this parcel for disposal Western Downs Regional Council is specifically seeking proposals for the development of the land for the delivery of aged care services.
The land has an area of 10,210m2 being 1.021 hectares, and is surrounded by residential properties bounded by Horace, Pratten, Condamine and Besley Streets.
The parcel is the subject of an Approved Preliminary Approval Document Horace Street Park Aged Care Facility Development. This approval is available as a separate document. The Proposed Development Code for "Horace Street Park Aged Care Facility" applies to assessing material change of use development applications for Aged Care Facilities as defined in the Western Downs Planning Scheme as a Residential Care Facility and/or Retirement facility uses.
