Background
Western Downs Regional Council are replacing the existing Asbestos Cement (AC) Trunk and Rising Water Mains in the Town of Chinchilla. Separable Portion A works will include the replacement of the existing DN300 AC Water Main for a DN315 PE100 SDR 11 HDPE pipeline between the Colamba street Reservoir and water tower. These works will require removal and disposal of a small portion of existing 300 and 225 AC pipework.
Separable Portion B works require the replacement of the existing DN225 AC trunk main running along Middle street from Colamba street to First Avenue. Pipework will be replaced in the Colamba/Middle Intersection including connection to the town Water Tower. There will be no pipework replacement required in the Heeney/Middle Intersection, with connections taking place outside of the flow of traffic inside the intersection.
The successful contractor will be required to remove, supply and install all required elements to achieve practical completion as set out in the project specifications in accordance with council requirements and supplied layout drawings.
