Background:
Western Downs Regional Council owns and operates a General Waste landfill located on Winfields Road, Jandowae, QLD. The landfill design incorporates the progressive development of individual landfill cells including an engineered liner and leachate collection system for the ongoing depositing of approved solid waste.
Waste disposal within the original Cell 1a is nearing capacity. To ensure the ongoing capacity of the landfill, Council seeks to engage a suitably experienced and capable contractor to construct the new Cell 1b, including its composite liner and leachate collection system. Councils' expectation is that Cell 1b will be ready to receive waste by 1st July 2023.
