Council intends to trial the use of meter reading services to facilitate its water billing processes. Meter readings occur each November and May.
The supplier will need to be able to service the townships of Chinchilla, Miles, Dalby and Wandoan.
The approximate number of meters in each township are:
Chinchilla - 3,445
Miles - 998
Dalby - 5,740 (approximately 50% of these meters are in scope)
Wandoan - 430
A volumetric consumption charge is levied on each property connected to a water supply scheme based on each kilolitre of water consumed.
