WDRC has resolved to call for Expressions of Interest for the Leasing of Part of two Lots at Kumbarilla Lane, Kogan. The identified lots include Lot 2 on SP214220 and Lot 3 on SP200461 and are freehold owned by WDRC.
Both lots are to the east of the Braemar Power Station.
The identified lots are partially used by Arrow Energy for the extraction of coal seam gas ('CSG') under Conduct and Compensation Agreement ('CCA') with Council. Dependent on the size and area leased, an agreement between the successful party and Arrow Energy may be required to determine the respective obligations to maintain and utilise Arrow's current road network traversing the lots.
The lease area will exclude existing CSG infrastructure including, but not limited to, wells and road network (see below at 3.1 Asset Summary). No Lessee shall receive any benefit under any Conduct and Compensation Agreement with the Coal Seam Gas Provider. Council exclusively maintains any benefit under CCA.
Interested parties will be shortlisted and may be called to provide a written tender.
