Background:
The Dalby Regional Saleyards is a large one day selling centre for livestock, with cattle sales exceeding on average yarding 4,400 head each week. Cattle sales are held on Wednesdays, with intermittent special and stud sales during the year.
First established in 1940, the Dalby Saleyards holds an average of fourty-nine weekly sales each year involving eight (8) livestock agencies and attracting a variety of buyers from small growers to commercial meatworks. The Saleyards draws livestock from throughout Queensland as well as part of New South Wales, South Australia, and Northern Queensland.
The Dalby Regional Saleyards require a contractor to provide the service provision of labour and equipment to successfully undertake the works associated with the movement and control of stock to ensure safe and efficient operations at the Dalby Saleyards.
The successful contractor will provide labour in accordance with requirements of the Saleyards Coordinator to suit the number of stock for each sale.
The current contract will expire 30 June 2024.
