RFT000091 DWSUP Alluvial Bore Drilling
Background:
Western Downs Regional Council (Council) is currently undertaking a substantial upgrade to the potable water supply scheme servicing the Dalby community. The core objectives of the Dalby Water Supply Upgrade Project (DWSUP) being increase capacity, to mitigate against the diminishing reliability and yield of the existing water sources and provide resilience against adverse weather conditions and direct flood impacts and indirect impacts. The scope of the DWSUP includes a new water treatment facility, the relocation of existing water entitelements and the drilling and development of additional bores.

The scope of works for the current project, which is the subject of this request for tenders, is the development of the additional alluvial bores. Council is targeting a total groundwater supply from the new bores of around 25 to 30 litres per second and it is expected that several bores will be required to sustainably supply this flow rate.
