DALBY SALEYARDS REDEVELOPMENT

In 2009, the Western Downs Regional Council (WDRC) commissioned a Master Plan for the Saleyards of the Western Downs. The Master Plan defined a number of options available to WDRC in relation to Dalby Saleyards.
Council has now resolved to call Expression Of Interests under section 489 of the Local Government Act 1993 in redeveloping the existing Dalby Saleyards or for developing new facilities within the WDRC region, comprising the following alternatives:
Option A - Design/construct, expand and rehabilitate portions of the existing cattle yards.
Option B - Design/construct new facilities on the existing saleyard site.
Option C - Design/construct new facilities on Council owned Greenfield site.
Option D - Buy Saleyard business, design/construct/operate new facilities in Dalby region.
Note: It is expected that Expressions-of-Interest received will be used to pre-qualify candidates who may then be invited to provide firm proposals via a formal Request For Tender process.
