Background Information:
The Dalby Water Distribution High Service Pump Station provides network flow and pressure to an urban population of approximately 11,000. The existing pumps and associated control switchboard have reached the end of useful life and Council is seeking tender submissions to undertake the replacement works.
The new system is designed to provide constant pressure and flow to the network over a range of demand conditions. The pumps are expected to provide variable flow between 1.1 to 240 L/s to maintain either tower level or local pressure control based on a user defined PID control set point. The new pump system will consist of 1 x low flow jockey pump and 6 x higher flow duty/assist/standby vertical multistage pumps. The bare pump and motor assembly will be free issued to the successful tenderer.
The upgrade will also require the existing switchboard to be replaced with a new switchboard that will provide power and control function to the pump set, but also act as the main metering and distribution panel for the pump building.
The contractor is required to provide a turnkey upgrade solution with minimal interruption to Council services.
