Background:
Western Downs Regional Council has recently been successful in securing State Government funding under the Works for Queensland Program. This funding provides the opportunity for Council to upgrade existing infrastructure across the region.
Council has allocated some of this funding towards expansion of its town revitalisation program and on this occasion, focusing on Dalby, Chinchilla, Tara and Wandoan.
The program will involve design, construction, and landscaping of town entry avenues in 3 towns and a town centre upgrade. A major bridge enhancement is also to be achieved through significant landscaping changes and associated works.
A major requirement of the funding is the completion of all programmed works by 30 November 2017.
