Council’s Waste Services Unit operates 19 waste management facilities. These facilities consist of 11 landfill sites and eight (8) transfer stations where Council, contractors, commercial operators and residents dispose of wastes.
As part of the amalgamated Western Downs Regional Council waste strategy including better management of non waste streams and the reduction of direct public access to these landfill sites it was decided to develop and upgrade various waste management infrastructure.
This tender document is concerned with the Line Haul of large roll on roll off multi lift containers to a number of Waste & Recycling Centres, and the operation of a number of Council’s Landfills as separate specifications as separable portions.
Tenders must be received by the closing time of 2.30pm on Tuesday 11 July 2017. Submissions received after the closing time may be deemed invalid.
Council may invite tenderers to change their tenders in accordance with the provision of Section 228 (7) of the Local Government Regulation 2012. Council reserves the right to accept any submission in whole or part and the right not to accept the lowest or all submissions.
