Round 1 of Community Funding Now Open
Round 1 of the 2025-2026 Community Funding Program is now open and the Liverpool Plains Shire Council is encouraging local groups to take advantage of the opportunity.
The Community Funding Program aims to assist local organisations in contributing to the community's vision for “a great rural lifestyle that is inclusive of all cultures, with access to quality services and facilities.”
In 2025-2026, Council’s Community Funding Program offers grants of up to $2,000 through two funding rounds. The total funding available for each round is $10,000.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to tap into funding that will contribute towards enhancing the lifestyle, culture, access and quality services and facilities that our region has to offer.
“I would like to strongly encourage everyone who is eligible and meets the criteria to put their hat in the ring.
“And for those that are not familiar with the process, Council staff will very happily assist and guide them through. Often people miss out on access to funding like this because they don’t know what to do and we want to help everyone as best we can so that they are successful in their application,” said Liverpool Plains Shire Council Mayor Ken Cudmore.
All events, activities and projects funded via the program need to be completed by 30 June 2026.
Applicants for the Community Funding Program must:
· Be applying for an event, activity or project that will take place within the Liverpool Plains Shire Council Region.
· Be a not-for-profit entity or have the project auspiced by a not-for-profit entity.
· Hold current Public Liability Insurance to the value of $20 million.
· Be able to demonstrate the benefits of their proposal.
· Complete the project by the agreed deadline.
· Use the Community Funding Program Application Form and provide all supporting documentation.
· Have acquitted any grants received previously through the Community Funding Program.
