Junee Shire Annual Grants Program
Junee Shire Council provides financial support through grants, donations and/or reimbursements to a range of community groups and organisations.
Funding enhances the efforts of community members and volunteers as they work across the shire to deliver projects, activities and events that benefit the wider community which they otherwise may not be able to deliver.
Under the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), local councils can provide funding and resources for others to undertake activities they would otherwise not be able to complete without assistance. It is important that any funds provided by Council support the strategies or actions of the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program or other adopted strategies and plans.
The grants program helps Council collaborate with other partners to provide and support opportunities for social interaction that enhance our quality of life or advances local priorities. Grant funded activities encourage the community to provide projects or program solutions to issues that matter most to them.
