E026-2026 - TCMF Community Ambassador Program
Tamworth Regional Council has received feedback from the community expressing a strong interest in bringing back what was once the Queen of Country Music Quest. A much-loved highlight of the Festival since its inception in 1984.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now invited from local businesses, organisations and community groups interested in organising and delivering this event as a major feature of the 2027 Festival.
The original Quest aimed to empower young women from Tamworth and surrounding districts by helping them develop valuable personal and professional skills such as public speaking, networking and community service. While its legacy is still cherished, community expectations have evolved. A more inclusive, non-gender-specific approach is now encouraged to ensure the event reflects modern values and offers an open application process for all.
Tamworth Regional Council would be keen to support a business or group that can work collaboratively with others in the community to ensure the new event provides meaningful benefits for entrants, sponsors, employers and the wider public.
Council would consider financial assistance towards a major prize for the winner.
The Principal invite you to submit an expression of interest that outlines a broad plan for how the TCMF Community Ambassador Program could be structured, organised and delivered. Fresh and creative ideas are welcome.
Above all, the event should provide entrants with a unique and rewarding experience, an opportunity to gain new skills, grow in confidence, expand professional networks and build lasting friendships.
