AlburyCity Community Organisation Support
Value: Funding pool of $142,869
Providing financial assistance for the 2026/27 financial year, the AlburyCity Community Organisation Support is an annual funding stream to support community organisations to provide a service, project or initiative that will benefit the community.
Scope and Limit
New requests within the Community Organisation Support funding stream have a funding pool available of up to $142,869 for the financial year 2026/2027. This funding pool has taken into consideration pre-existing commitments of multi-year funding and community centre operational support where the rate peg has been previously applied.
Financial assistance and in-kind support to community groups, organisations and individuals encourages social, cultural, and environmental sustainability. Financial Assistance also supports equity, diversity, and inclusion, and is fair, equitable and transparent.
The support provided by Council can be financial and/or in-kind. When financial in nature, the funding will only be disbursed in the financial year that it has been applied under.
Applications from organisations to provide various cultural and/or community services and initiatives will be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply, your community organisation must consider the following for your project:
1. It is linked to the outcomes and goals in AlburyCity’s Community Strategic Plan Towards Albury 2050, and Council’s adopted strategic plans.
2. The project will benefit the residents of the Albury local government area.
3. The applicant must be incorporated or a registered legal entity and is not acting for private gain.
4. The project is not typically or potentially able to be funded through other sources e.g., other levels of government.
5. If your organisation received funding support in previous years, that you have met your obligations under the funding agreement.
