Community Financial Assistance – Grants Now Open
Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Community Financial Assistance Program 2025 is now open for applications.
Each year, Council provides financial and in-kind support to eligible individuals, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations. These programs help deliver the goals of Wingecarribee 2035 and support a thriving, connected, and resilient community.
Our grants, sponsorships and subsidies are competitive and designed to deliver measurable community benefit.
Who can apply?
You may be eligible if you are a:
• Not-for-profit organisation (including incorporated associations, sporting clubs, village groups, and arts and cultural organisations).
• Unincorporated community group supported by an eligible incorporated body (auspice).
• Registered charity (specific categories only).
• School or educational institution delivering projects with a broader community benefit.
• For-profit business (event sponsorship only, where there is clear community or economic benefit).
• Individual (specific categories only, e.g. selected to represent at State or National level in sport, arts, or science).
Funding Programs Available
A wide range of programs are open under the Framework. Each has specific eligibility and funding caps.
Community Grants – $1,000 to $5,000 for community-led projects and initiatives.
Sustainability Grants – $500 to $3,000 for schools and community groups advancing environmental sustainability.
Kick Starter Grants – $250 to $1,000 for small-scale, grassroots community and youth initiatives.
Small Halls Activation Grants – Up to $1,000 to activate and increase use of small halls.
Community Event Sponsorship – $500 to $10,000 to support events that bring people together and celebrate our Shire.
Venue Access Program (Bowral Memorial Hall) – Subsidised access for cultural performances and community groups.
Community Waste Disposal Assistance Scheme – Support to cover disposal costs for community clean-ups and events.
Christmas Micro-grants - $1000 - $4000 to support community-led Christmas activations.
