KC2025RC001 - Design and Construction of Kyogle Memorial Recreation Centre
Kyogle Council has secured funding for the development of a new Recreation Centre in Kyogle and invites tenders from suitably qualified Contractors for the Design and Construction of the facility.
The proposed Recreation Centre will be a single-storey public building comprising:
• A multi-purpose sports hall,
• Management office space,
• Meeting rooms; and
• An amenities block.
In addition to its recreational function, the building will be designed to serve as an evacuation centre during natural disasters, providing a safe and accessible space for the community in times of emergency.
The site is located within the Kyogle CBD, adjacent to the existing Kyogle Public Swimming Pool, within Kyogle Memorial Park on Summerland Way.

The proposed Recreation Centre building consists of a main sports hall accommodating a netball / basketball court. This has dimensions of 37.4 metres x 24.0 metres. The eaves height in the sports hall is 7.7 metres, and the ridge height is 10.1 metres high.
The centre management offices, meeting rooms and amenities building will be a single storey building with a maximum building height of 5.2 metres and minimum height of 3.0m (due to the natural slope of the site).
