T-2025-1438. Doorstep Recycling Service.
The Council of the City of Sydney ("the City") invites tenders for carrying out the "Doorstep Recycling Service" ("the Services") in accordance with this Request for Tender (RFT).
The City intends to award one Service Provider to collect recyclable items directly from residential properties and manage all aspects of the Services including service bookings, customer management, collection, sorting, reporting and promotion.
Eligible Items for collection are those that are not accepted in existing kerbside bins and include at a minimum small electronics and digital devices, expanded polystyrene, batteries, light globes, unwearable textiles, and mobile phones.
The Transition In Services will commence on 1 January 2026 with the Services commencing on 1 March 2026. The Service Provider must ensure all requirements, including systems, staffing, equipment and vehicles are in place for the Services to commence on 1 March 2026.
