BSC5044 - Roof Replacements - Ballina & Alstonville
Ballina Shire Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the complete removal and replacement of the existing roofs at the following Council properties:
- Ballina Visitor Information Centre; Ballina Library; Richmond Room
- Ballina CWA Hall
- Freeborn Park Amenities Building, Alstonville
- Freeborn Park Shelter, Alstonville.
The successful contractor will be required to:
• Carry out all works in accordance with the NSW Code of Practice Construction Work and all other relevant safe work codes and standards.
• Advise the Principal of any asbestos containing material (ACM) that is likely to be disturbed prior to commencing.
• Safely remove and dispose of the existing roof.
• Inspect and repair/replace any damaged roof structure components.
• Inspect and include DP repair replacement as required.
• Supply and install a new roofing system with all associated fixtures and flashings.
• Ensure compliance with AS 1562.1 (Design and Installation of Sheet Roof and Wall Cladding) and other relevant standards.
• Safe and compliant access for patrons to Ballina Visitor Information Centre, Ballina Shire Council Library, Ballina Shire Council Richmond Room.6-8 River St, Ballina must be maintained during business hours.
