T-2025-1420 - Water Features Services
The Council of the City of Sydney (the City) invites tenders for the delivery of Water Features Services (the Contract) in accordance with this Request for Tender (RFT).
The City of Sydney Local Government Area (the Sydney LGA) covers 26.15 square kilometres, within the Sydney metropolitan area. It comprises 33 suburbs extending from Sydney Harbour at Dawes Point, south to Rosebery and from Annandale in the west to Paddington in the east.
The City's 48 Water Features (and their associated plant and equipment) are diverse in type, scale, and function, and collectively contribute to the cultural, recreational, and aesthetic fabric of the City. These assets range from constructed ponds to interactive zero-depth splash pads designed to provide safe and inclusive water play opportunities for children and families, to prominent heritage-listed installations of historic and cultural significance.
The Services delivered under this Contract are integral to ensuring that each of the City's Water Features continue to operate safely, efficiently, and in alignment with its intended function and design.
The Service Provider is expected to contribute to the City meeting its strategic objectives as set out in Part B - Specification and the following strategies:
- Sustainable Sydney 2030 - 2050 Continuing the Vision
- Environmental Strategy 2025 - 2030
- Greening Sydney Strategy 2021
The Initial Term of the Contract will be for three years and two months, with two Further Terms of two years each. The total possible Contract Term is seven years and two months.
Any Further Term will be granted at the City's discretion and will be determined by the Service Provider's performance as set out in Part B - Specification.
The City expects the Contract to be executed (Date of Contract) during June 2026 and Contract Commencement to be Wednesday, 1 July 2026
All City Water Feature (above ground) displays are open and accessible to Tenderers and images of Service Pits and Plant Rooms have been provided in Attachment 2 via link provided.
