CTIS015 - 25/26 (CTIS0152526) - Urangan Pier Cathodic Protection System Repair
Fraser Coast Regional Council is inviting offers from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for CTIS015 - 25/26 - Urangan Pier Cathodic Protection System Repair.
The existing cathodic protection system (CPS) at Urangan Pier was installed during the rehabilitation of timber piles in two (2) phases; 2009 and 2014. Over the past decade, several audits and repairs have been undertaken to assess and maintain system functionality. The most recent condition assessment, undertaken by SMC Marine in 2023, identified both operational and failed components across the system.
The objective of this contract is to engage with a suitably qualified contractor to carry out a comprehensive audit of the cathodic protection system and implement a comprehensive repair program. The repairs shall restore system performance in alignment with the original design intent, incorporating specific design modifications as necessary. The works will ensure the long-term protection of structural elements through re-establishment of effective cathodic protection.
